The bad economy is good business for St. Clair College.
The school now has more students than ever in its 42-year history -- almost 8,900 students enrolled this year, a whopping 19 per cent increase over last year -- thanks in part to the economic downturn.
"With Windsor having the worst unemployment in the country, people are unsure of their future," St. Clair spokesman John Fairley said Monday. "So they want to be well-grounded and ready to compete for a job.
"It's loud and clear to everybody that a college education is more valuable now than even five years ago."
