Bridge plan proceeding, More Jobs! Windsor, Ontario Real Estate

A U.S. lawmaker's claim that Canadians are wasting their money by acquiring land for a new bridge is simply wrong, according to Windsor MPP Dwight Duncan.
Duncan said preliminary work for the long-awaited project -- such as utility relocates -- could happen as soon as this fall, if provincial and federal environmental assessments come in over the next month or two, as expected.
Duncan's comments come a day after criticism by Michigan Senate Majority Floor Leader Alan Cropsey, who calls the bridge project a boondoggle.
Cropsey, who favours Ambassador Bridge owner Matty Moroun building a twin span with private money, noted that not only has Michigan not bought a single acre of land, but that it has yet to even give approval to buy land.....
