St. Clair College unveils trades school

The ribbon was cut on St. Clair College's new $9-million Centre for Construction, Innovation and Production Friday, heralding a new era for teaching trades locally.
"We recognize the only way we are going to outshine other jurisdictions is because of education," said Economic Development and Trade Minister Sandra Pupatello during a ceremony in the lobby of the new, state-of-the art building.
"Ontario has the highest level of post-secondary education in any of the OECD countries. We are at 52 per cent that have college, university or trade. That is better than any other OECD country in the world."
