Housing slump persists

High levels of unemployment are still holding down demand for new housing in the Windsor area, according to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.

There were just 28 units started in September locally compared to 51 last September.

Starts in the Windsor area included 22 single-detached homes and six townhouse units.
